The Feast of the Lord
“And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them; “The feast of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.” Leviticus 23:1
“Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses; at the Passover/ Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.” Deuteronomy 16:16 The other feast of the year are, Firstfruits, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement and the Eight Day “And you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant and the Levite, the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, who are within your gates.” Deuteronomy 16:14 “Every man shall give as he is able according to the blessing of the Lord your God which He has given you.” Deuteronomy 16:17 |
PASSOVER
“Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.” Exodus 12:6
“Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in the fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.” Exodus 12:8 “And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover.” Exodus:12:11 “Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance.” Exodus 12:17 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29 |
This is a night of solemn observance to the Lord; a night to remember His sacrifice and all that it has done for His people. We would not be a delivered and set free people without it. It is also a night that we die with Him. This is not a death that He dies alone, but as it says in Romans 6: 3-6; “Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also should be in the likeness of His resurrection.” The reason we celebrate this throughout our generations is because every generation should be brought into this knowledge. It will never be done away with because this truth will remain always. Exodus 12:48; “And when a stranger dwells with you and wants to keep Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised ( in heart), and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as a native of the land.” This feast is the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Only after the sacrifice can we become unleavened. That is why we eat the flesh and the bread together. One has a great effect on the other. |
The Feast of Unleavened Bread
“And Moses said to the people; “Remember this day in which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out of this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.” Exodus 13:3
“Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” 1Corinthians 5:7-8 “And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.” Leviticus 23: 6-8 “You shall therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year” Exodus 13:10 This feast is a direct result of Passover. Nothing is unleavened without the sacrifice. This is a time we celebrate our deliverance from satan, sin and becoming unleavened; without sin. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; old things have past away; behold all things have become new.” This is the Lord’s Supper. His feast is our newness. “It is a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes that the Lord’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt, and out of the house of bondage. Amen. |
The Feast of Firstfruits
“Consecrate to Me all the first-born, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and beast; it is Mine.” Exodus 13:2
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them; “When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruis of your harvest to the priest.” Leviticus 23:10
“It shall be as a sign on your hand and as frontlets between you eyes, for by strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt.” Exodus 13:16
“it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.” Leviticus 23:14
The firstfruits are those who are born again through the deliverance of the Lord. We are the harvest that is to be brought to the priest. The Lord himself is the Priest. This is celebrated after Passover, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. After our deliverance and becoming without sin that we are then led by the fruit of the Spirit. Let love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control lead us always.
Amen.

The Feast of Weeks/ Pentecost
“And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be completed.” Leviticus 23:15
“In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai.” Exodus 19:1 “Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire.” Exodus 19:18 “When the Day of Pentecost had fully com, they were all with one accord in one place.” Acts 2: “Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.” Acts 2:3 After the children of Israel were delivered from Egypt it was a fifty day journey to get to the place where they would enter into their covenant relationship with God. Pentecost means fifty, and fifty in the bible means jubilee. We celebrate coming to that place, entering in, and having the Spirit come down on us just as the Lord our God came down on Mount Sinai with joy unspeakable. The journey represents the process of cleansing and preparation it takes to get there. Amen. |
The Feast of Trumpets
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying; “In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.”
Leviticus 23:24
“And when the blast of the trumpet sounded longer and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.” Exodus 19:19
“And God spoke all these words, saying; “I am the Lord your God,…..” Exodus 20:1
The blowing of the trumpet is a remembering of the place where the covenant first began at Mont Sinai. We celebrate with the joy of knowing that the Lord loves us so much that He wants this covenant relationship with us, and takes the time to come down to were we are to establish it Himself.
Hallelujah!

The Day of Atonement
“Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.” Leviticus 16:6
“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When you make His soul an offering for sin...” Isaiah 53:10 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-24 |
“And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” Romans 5:11
It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall humble your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening you shall honor your Sabbath.” Leviticus 23:32
This truly is a solemn time. It is a time of deep examination of ourselves, and confession of our sins to the Lord. If we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive our sin, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This atonement is not for the world however; it is only for the people of God. Just as Aaron atoned for his house; the Lord atones for His. We are the ones who in disobedience become filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; we are whispers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful. Let us humble ourselves before the Lord knowing that without His sacrifice we are truly worthy of death, but THANKYOU LORD, THANKYOU LORD, AND ETERNALLY THANK YOU LORD FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!
AMEN.

The Feast of Tabernacle/Booths
“Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying; “The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord.” Leviticus 23: 33-34
“But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is not of this creation.” Hebrews 9:11
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people; God Himself will be with them and be their God.” Revelations 21:3
“And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain.” Exodus 26:30
“And I if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself.” John 12:32
“You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths (tabernacles) when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 23:42-43
“You shall keep it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month.” Leviticus 23:41
This is the time we celebrate coming into the Lord as our tabernacle. This is what the Lord meant when He prayed in John 17:21; “that they all may be one, as You Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us.” The word booth in the Hebrew language means tabernacle. When the Lord said “I go to prepare a place for you” this is the heart of that place.
We are celebrating coming out of this world and entering the tabernacle of the living God.

The Feast of Tabernacles is also called the Feast of Ingathering. It is a time when you have gathered in the fruit of your labor. Looking forward it is a time when the Lord gathers in the fruit of His labor. The offering made by fire are all those who come to Him by way of the tribulation. Once everything is gathered in to Him there is one more celebration. The definition of the number eight in the Strong’s concordance is plumpness, surplus above the perfect. We are looking at a time which is fully above the perfect. Revelations 21:1-2, “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Oh how our hearts should yearn for this time as we celebrate this day keeping the words of the Lord within us, “Surely I am coming quickly.”
Hallelujah!
