Abib/Nisan The beginning that leads to the End
“Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” After the flood of Noah’s time every thing that had come before had been washed away. That meant that this time would then take the place of the beginning like the beginning of the Garden of Eden. What happened in the Garden of Eden had all changed. Man and the entire earth had fallen into sin, and needed to be cleansed. Now that it has been cleansed let’s look at why the beginning of Nisan is so important and unchangeable.
Nisan 1= The beginning of the year. This relates to Genesis 1:1, and Revelations 21:1 Nisan 7= The first Sabbath of the year. “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.” Genesis 2:2 God rested and on the seventh day. Genesis 2:7 mankind receives the breath of life. Just as Adam received the breath of Life; he who overcomes now inherits all things. Revelations 21:7 Nisan 10= The first tithe of the year which is the Lamb of God. “On the tenth day of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. It is the first tithe given to the Lord. The blood of the Lamb is the river that goes out to the four corners of the earth. Genesis 2:10. In Revelations 22:1 it is now the River of Life. Nisan 14= The sacrifice of the Lamb at sunset; The Passover;starts at sunset. The Blood of the Lamb is the rapid (Haddekel) river that makes everything fruitful (Euphrates) again in Genesis 2:14. The Lamb's blood is also the blood of the covenant in Matthew 26:28, and Revelations 22:14 speaks of the blessing of those who enter it. Nisan 15= The Feast of Unleavened bread begins at sunset. It is a Sabbath, and it was the Sabbath that the Lord had to be taken of the cross for. It is also the beginning of the journey of His people who have been delivered. In Revelations 22:15 it speaks of those who are outside of His deliverance, and Genesis 3:15 speaks of the Seed that brings the division. Nisan 16= This is the third day. It was the time the curse was coming to Mankind in Genesis 3:16. Now the resurrection of the Lord turns that sorrow to joy. Matthew 17:23; “and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.” Revelation 22:16 Speaks of exactly who The resurrection is. Nisan 21= The last day of the Feast of unleavened bread. Genesis 3:21; “Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.” Instead of being clothed with skin; because of the Blood of the Lamb; we are now clothed with the garments of salvation, and the robe of righteousness. It is also a time of crossing over, and “Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” Revelations 22:21 speaks of the grace of our Lord being with us; "For by grace we have been saved through faith"; Ephesians 2:8. |
Sivan/ the Third month
“In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai.”.
Sivan is the third month of the biblical calendar. This is the month we celebrate deliverance from the hand of our enemy and the house of bondage. Israel was commanded to count seven Sabbaths plus one day. When you line up the Sabbath following it from the seventh day of Nisan; it is exactly seven Sabbaths that end on Sivan four. The first day of the week is Sivan 5, and the children of Israel left Egypt on the first day of the week which was Nisan 15. The jubilation and celebration of the Sivan 5 is that they have been informed that they are to prepare for the coming of the Lord. Exodus 19:10 says, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.” The 5th, 6th, and 7th bring you to the third day; which is the Seventh; the day the commandments were given. The amazing thing is that this feast represents what happened in Genesis 3:5, 6, 7, and leads us to Revelation 21:5, 6, and 7.(Revelations 21= 2+1=3) Genesis 3:5-7 says; “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.” In Genesis 3:5-7 when their eyes were being opened to sin; on the third month days 5, 6, and 7 their eyes are now being opened to God. That is why in Exodus 19:11 the Lord says He is coming upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. In Revelations 21:4 God says “He will wipe away every tear from our eyes” and then goes on to say what is accomplished by Him doing so in verses 5, 6, and 7. Enjoy your Feast of the Lord; for no one feeds us like He does.

The Seventh month
Sivan/ the Third month
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying; “The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles” Leviticus 23:34
The Lord never gave a name to this month only a number or a time which is the end of the year. The end of the year symbolizes the end of the time. The number seven is very significant in the things of the Lord our God. It is the culmination of all the sevens in the word that we celebrate at this time. It is through the journey of Sabbaths, the in-gathering of all the children of the seven in Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Leah (Israel’s harvest); that we celebrate. It is all in preparation for the last and finale Feast of the Eight Day. There are a multitude of sevens in the bible, and they all contribute to this last celebration. The seventh day is the Sabbath, and the seventh month is a complete rest. It is a complete return to the Lord our God. The trumpet of the Lord calls to us, and our sins are atoned for by Him. We eat before Him. We rest in Him. We reside in a temporary dwelling with Him, and because of us coming into all that He has provided all things are made brand new. This is the Eight Day celebration. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
